The short version
Bedsure and Cozy Earth give the clearest fiber and fit detail; Cariloha and Bella Coterie lean on OEKO-TEX claims that come without a label number. All four label the fabric as viscose made from bamboo, which is a manufactured fiber, not raw bamboo.
We set aside two popular brands because their buy box named a seller different from the brand. General information, not medical advice.

On Oct 19, 2026 we searched Amazon.com for bamboo viscose sheet sets, queen, kept one product per brand, and read each full listing.
3 of 4
bamboo sheet listings use “organic” or “organically grown” for the fiber without naming a certifier. The fourth makes no organic claim.

“Bamboo” sheets: what the label can and cannot tell you
Bamboo sheets are not made by weaving bamboo. The listings describe the fabric as viscose “derived from” or “made from” bamboo: a manufactured fiber produced from plant cellulose. That is why the best listings say “viscose from bamboo” and the Material field says the same.
Two other phrases appear without proof: “organic” or “organically grown” bamboo, and OEKO-TEX certification. Neither listing that names OEKO-TEX gives a label number, so the claim cannot be looked up.
- Read the Material and Fabric Type fields: they should say viscose, not just bamboo.
- Treat “organic” as a claim until a certifier and number are named.
- For OEKO-TEX claims, look for a label number you can enter in the OEKO-TEX label check.
- Check pocket depth against your mattress, and thread count and weave if they matter to you.
Claims, translated
| Claim | What it covers | Key exclusion |
|---|---|---|
| “100% viscose derived from bamboo” | The fabric is a manufactured fiber made from bamboo cellulose, per the listing | Not the same as woven bamboo; the process is not described on the listings |
| “Organically grown” / “100% organic bamboo viscose” | The seller says the bamboo was organically grown | No certifier or standard named on any of these listings |
| “OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified” | Finished textiles tested for harmful substances; the seller says the product is certified | No label number given, so we could not check the record; says nothing about organic growing |
| “Qmax 0.416” | A measure of how cool a fabric feels to the touch, quoted by the seller | The test and comparison are not described |
| “Softer than 1,000-thread-count Egyptian cotton” | A softness comparison by the seller | No test or measure given |
| “Naturally resistant to odors and allergens” / “hypoallergenic” | The seller’s description | No legal or test definition |
Listings we would be careful with
| Listing | What we found | Our check |
|---|---|---|
| Pure Bamboo sheets (several listings) | A widely sold brand; on the two listings we checked, the buy box named the seller Jellyfish Brands, which differs from the brand name. We did not open its profile | Not scored: the seller is not clearly the brand. We make no claim about the seller’s relationship to the brand |
| Amazon Basics bamboo viscose sheet set | Amazon’s own brand, but the buy box we saw named the seller NorthPoint Home | Not scored: the seller is not Amazon or the brand store |
| Bambaw bamboo viscose sheets | The buy box we saw named the seller Brolutions | Not scored: the seller is not clearly the brand |
| Many other “real bamboo” sets in the results | We did not read their listings or check their claims | Not scored. Missing evidence is not proof of a poor product |
| Star ratings and “bought in past month” badges | Shown for every product | Not evidence of materials or certification; not used in scores |

Bedsure gives the most measurements: the thread count, the weave, every dimension and the care steps. Its Material field says viscose, which is the honest label for the fabric.
“Organically grown” names no certifier and “Qmax 0.416” comes with no test, so we credited neither.

Cozy Earth makes the fewest claims: it says viscose from bamboo and gives the deepest pocket and the care steps, and it makes no organic or certification claim to doubt.
It leaves out the thread count, the weave and the flat-sheet size, so you cannot compare it to the others on feel or fit beyond the pocket.
Why it scored well
- No unsupported organic or certification claim
- 20 inch pocket stated
- Fiber wording is exact
Watch-outs
- Thread count and weave not stated
- Flat-sheet dimensions not stated
- “Temperature regulating” with no test
Twill weave

Cariloha’s Material field says viscose derived from bamboo and it gives the weave, thread count and detailed care steps. It also names OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which can be checked once you have the label number; the listing does not give one.
“Softer than 1,000-thread-count Egyptian cotton” and “100% organic bamboo viscose” have nothing behind them on the listing.
Why it scored well
- Weave, thread count and care steps stated
- Material field is exact
- Sold by the brand, shipped by Amazon
Watch-outs
- OEKO-TEX claim has no label number
- “Organic” with no certifier
- Egyptian-cotton comparison has no test

4. Bella Coterie Bamboo Viscose Queen Set
56/100

| Fiber | Material field: “Organically Grown | Viscose Made From Bamboo”; no certifier for “organically grown”. |
| Weave and size | 400 thread count sateen, 18 in pocket, 2.39 kg. The display dimensions field says 96 x 105 inches without saying which piece. |
| Certification | “OEKO-TEX 100 certification” with no label number given in the text; the page also shows an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 badge whose details we did not open. |

| Seller | Ships from Amazon, sold by BC Bella Coterie; links to the BC Bella Coterie Store. |
| Price | See current price on Amazon |
Bella Coterie gives the highest thread count and names OEKO-TEX; the page also shows an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 badge. Without a label number we could not confirm the record.
“Organically grown” names no certifier, and the display-dimensions field does not say which piece it measures.
Why it scored well
- Highest thread count of the four (400)
- Names OEKO-TEX and shows a badge
- Sold by the brand, shipped by Amazon
Watch-outs
- OEKO-TEX claim has no label number
- “Organically grown” with no certifier
- Dimensions field does not say which piece
How to choose bamboo sheets
- Prefer a listing that says “viscose” in the Material field and gives the fabric weight or thread count.
- Treat “organic” and “OEKO-TEX” as claims until a certifier and a number are given.
- Match the pocket depth to your mattress: 18 to 20 inches are offered here.
- Follow the care instructions: all four say cold wash and low heat or gentle dry.
How this guide was researched
We searched Amazon.com for bamboo viscose sheet sets, queen on Oct 19, 2026, kept one product per brand, and read each full listing: title, bullet points, product details and the buy box. We searched the CPSC recall database for each brand and opened the seller line on every buy box. No OEKO-TEX label number was given on any listing, so we could not look any up. We scored products with our published method: certification (25, where one is claimed), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10) and seller (15); the value part was left out (we show no Amazon prices yet), and scores are rescaled to 100. We did not use or test any product.
We could not use the Amazon product API, so every fact comes from listings and records read by hand on the date shown, and can change. Two listings claim OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification without giving a label number, so we could not check them in the OEKO-TEX label check. General information, not medical advice.
Common questions
Are bamboo sheets really made of bamboo?
The listings describe the fabric as viscose derived from bamboo, a manufactured fiber made from bamboo cellulose. It is not woven from raw bamboo.
Is bamboo viscose organic?
Three listings say so, but none names a certifier. Treat the word as a claim.
What does OEKO-TEX Standard 100 mean?
It means finished textiles were tested for harmful substances against a list. It says nothing about whether the fiber was grown organically.
